ETFE Film Adhesive Tape (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene Tape,ETFE Tape) is a functional film tape based on ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE film) coated with a high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive, such as silicone or acrylic adhesive, and can be applied on either one or both sides.

The core of ETFE tape lies in its unique substrate—ETFE film. Made from a copolymer of ethylene (C₂H₄) and tetrafluoroethylene (C₂F₄), ETFE combines the excellent weather resistance of fluoroplastics with the flexibility of polyethylene. Its high transparency is remarkable, with a light transmittance exceeding 90%, nearly comparable to that of glass. It is also resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including acids and bases, as well as various solvents such as acetone and alcohol. ETFE film exhibits excellent temperature stability, operating stably in environments ranging from -100°C to 150°C and even withstanding short-term temperatures up to 180°C. However, due to its low surface energy, special treatments, such as plasma treatment, are often required to enhance adhesive adhesion.

ETFE tape has a wide range of applications. In the photovoltaic industry, it's ideal for transparent module encapsulation and backsheet bonding, effectively resisting UV aging. In the electronics industry, it's often used to secure flexible circuits (FPCs) and provide temporary protection for touchscreens. The aerospace industry values its ability to withstand alternating high and low temperatures, and is used for cable insulation and wrapping. Furthermore, in the construction industry, ETFE tape is often used to seal the seams of ETFE air pillows, ensuring light transmittance while enhancing weather resistance.
