We recommend storing the FEP tape in a cool (<30°C), dry, and dark environment, away from sharp objects. The ideal shelf life is 12 months from the date of production. Improper storage (high temperature and humidity) may affect the tape's performance.

The choice depends on three factors: temperature, surface, and strength.1. Temperature: If your application temperature consistently exceeds 180°C, choose a silicone tape.2. Surface: If you are applying to difficult-to-bond surfaces like PTFE and silicone, you will need a specially treated tape. Please contact us for consultation.3. Requirements: If you need repeated application and removal without residue, silicone is the preferred choice. If you require extremely high bond strength at low temperatures, consider acrylic. We offer a variety of options based on adhesive and thickness:By Adhesive:    Silicone: Excellent temperature resistance (up to 260°C), good chemical stability, and low adhesive residue make it the preferred choice for high-temperature applications (such as heat sealing and high-temperature masking). Acrylic: Stronger initial tack and lasting adhesion, providing stronger bonds in low- to medium-temperature environments and a high cost-effectiveness.  By Thickness: We offer a variety of thicknesses, ranging from 0.05mm, 0.08mm to 0.13mm, 0.18mm. Thinner thicknesses provide greater flexibility; thicker thicknesses offer increased mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, and durability.  FEP tape is a specialty tape made from a fluoroplastic film called "perfluoroethylene propylene copolymer" (FEP) coated with a high-performance silicone or acrylic adhesive. FEP is a derivative of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and inherits most of its excellent properties.
