Huayu ETFE Film Adhesive Tape (also known as F40 tape) uses high‑purity ETFE ethylene‑tetrafluoroethylene copolymer film as backing material. Compared with FEP film, ETFE delivers superior tear‑resistance, tensile strength and flex‑fatigue resistance, with outstanding UV‑resistant weathering performance. The film undergoes precision plasma activation modification on single‑side and then coated with two high‑performance adhesives: silicone pressure‑sensitive adhesive and acrylic pressure‑sensitive adhesive (main grade).

Ultra‑thin customization is supported with minimum base‑film thickness down to 0.025 mm. Roll‑slitting and die‑cut sheet‑processing are available for custom widths and thicknesses. Benefiting from ETFE’s core advantages including high tear toughness, excellent flex‑fatigue property, outstanding UV weathering resistance, low‑ion‑extraction and low‑outgassing, the material also features good release‑property, insulation and anti‑corrosion. It peels cleanly with minimal residue after high‑temperature processing. Widely used for architectural membrane repair, new‑energy photovoltaic manufacturing, composite hot‑press forming, electronics‑semiconductor production and outdoor anti‑corrosion protection. It is a high‑toughness weather‑resistant fluoropolymer film pressure‑sensitive tape.
Key Product Features
1. Adhesive Options
Two pressure‑sensitive adhesives cover most industrial application scenarios. All adhesive grades feature anti‑yellowing formulation to preserve substrate clarity over long‑term service, resisting delamination under heat and delivering residue‑free clean peel‑off.
The acrylic pressure‑sensitive adhesive is Huayu’s independently‑developed high‑temperature‑resistant formulation, short‑term peak temperature up to 200℃. Its performance benchmarks premium‑grade industrial adhesive from Henkel Germany and provides better thermal stability than ordinary commercial adhesives for mid‑high‑temperature precision processes.
Silicone PSA Grade: Excellent high‑temperature stability, ultra‑clean peeling, low out‑gassing and strict ion‑leaching control. Ideal for electronic hot‑press and high‑purity clean‑release processes.
Acrylic PSA Grade (Huayu Main Grade): Balanced adhesion strength, excellent UV‑resistant weathering performance especially for outdoor service, good versatility and cost‑effectiveness. Suitable for most industrial shielding, wrapping, repairing, fixing and protection applications.
2. Core Substrate Advantages
✅ High toughness and tear‑resistance, excellent repeated flex‑fatigue resistance. Higher tensile strength than FEP film, less prone to puncture cracking for curved and deformation‑prone working conditions.
✅ Outstanding anti‑UV weathering performance. Minimal performance degradation under long‑term outdoor ultraviolet radiation, ideal for outdoor repair and protection.
✅ Good chemical inertness with resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents. Satisfactory non‑stick release performance to reduce resin and adhesive residue build‑up.
✅ Stable electrical‑insulation property. High‑purity backing with low‑ion‑leaching and low‑outgassing protects precision electronic components effectively.
✅ Wide service temperature range, short‑term peak temperature 200℃, continuous operating temperature ‑90℃ ~150℃. Toughness remains stable during high‑low‑temperature cycling with good anti‑brittleness performance.
✅ Ultra‑thin base‑film thickness down to 0.025 mm provides excellent conformability onto flat, curved and irregular workpiece surfaces.
